Hi everyone!
August is here, and Mallary, the kids, and I are excited that we’re steps closer to call Fort Worth home.
As of today, our Austin home is currently listed on the market — please pray for God to send us a buyer in short order, and our Fort Worth home is set to close on August 16th. With our kiddos starting school on August 15th, we’ll “Air BnB -it” the first few weeks and aim to fully be moved in by August 31st — yes, a lot of moving pieces!
As for the latest ministry updates, here’s a quick summary of all the Lord is doing to build His church through all of our lives:
I Have Decided!
Our oldest son, Ian, decided and professed Christ Jesus as Lordship of his life, and was baptized on July 10th at Mosaic Church Austin. What a joy and privilege it was as his father, along with family and friends praying and rejoicing, to facilitate this pivotal life decision.
Austin Interest Social Meeting
We held the first (many to come in Fort Worth once we settle into our home) interest social meeting July 10th in Austin, Texas. Eleven (11) people total attended (Zoom/In-person) and expressed interest in joining us in helping make Mosaic Church Fort Worth’s vision of making disciples for Jesus in the community and on college campuses a reality.
“See you later” Mosaic Church Austin
July 31st was my official last day as Mosaic Church Austin Staff and our last Sunday attending as a family. Mosaic Church Austin appreciated and loved us beyond well with a send-off party fit for a royal family. We laughed. We cried. We smiled. Cried some more. We remembered and reflected. Cried some more. We celebrated, prayed, and set our hearts toward God’s vision for Fort Worth. To God be the glory for our time in Austin as we look forward to a greater measure of God’s glory in Fort Worth!
Weekly Prayer Call from 8 pm – 9 pm (TONIGHT)
Starting August 3rd, every Wednesday night from 8 pm – 9 pm will be our corporate prayer and praise time to pray for the city of Fort Worth as well as one another and all that God is calling us to. We will start and end promptly, and look forward to everyone participating in our weekly call.
Well, that’s all for now.
THANK YOU ALL for your continued partnership as we discover and answer the call to make disciples for Jesus in the greater Fort Worth metro, laboring alongside one another as the hands and feet of Jesus to change the community and campus, forever changing the world!
We love you and look forward to seeing you on Zoom for prayer tonight at 8 pm sharp!
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
