Hi everyone!
I can’t believe summer is nearing an end (it seems like summer just started a few days ago)!
I have good news, and it’s that Mallary, our kids, and I can finally call Fort Worth, Texas “home, sweet home!” 🥳 It’s been a journey of unexpected twists and turns, but to God be the glory that each was worth it in its own way.
August was a big month for our family, living in a hotel for three weeks as the kids started school, and closing and moving our belongings from Austin to Fort Worth the final few days of the month. But God is faithful and miraculously provides every step of the way.
Ian, Seth, and Mila are transitioning well, loving their new school, teachers/faculty, and making new friends.
Mallary is gracefully embracing and enjoying a new life rhythm of making our house a home while working a few minutes away from home with an expanding love for her assignment and team. And yours truly, well, I’m leaning in, getting acclimated to all the various Fort Worth landmarks, coffee shops, campuses, local churches, and good ol’ Fort Worth living!
On the church plant front, there are many big wins to praise God for and celebrate in the month of August. One of those wins was connecting with PlantFortWorth.com and attending their monthly Leaders Lunch.
For those not familiar, Plant Fort Worth is a growing unified group of nearly 40 local pastors with a vision and heart aimed toward churches multiplying churches to saturate greater Fort Worth with the Gospel together. 🎉
Plant Fort Worth will not only serve me well in having a local group of pastors to connect with and labor alongside, but Mosaic Church Fort Worth will greatly benefit from the decades of life and ministry experience as God establishes us in the city, communities, and campuses to realize our ministry vision and mission:
Make disciples for Jesus through the core values of worship, community, and mission in a multiethnic, multigenerational context.
And speaking of getting established in the city, communities, and campuses, another win to praise, celebrate, and welcome is Joya Ogier and her presence as a student on campus at Texas Christian University (TCU).
Mallary and I met Joya this past summer while attending a conference in Florida. Joya recently made the move from Florida to Texas, and she’s already discipling 3 students just weeks after arriving on campus!
Partnering alongside Joya, we’re working out all of the details this semester with a plan to launch an official ENC presence on the TCU campus next semester. Let’s pray without ceasing for God to reveal the TCU faculty/staff person to be our ENC sponsor (a pre-requisite for being on campus).
There are many more people, organizations, things, and places to celebrate that happened during the month of August, which I’ll communicate in the coming weeks. But for now, I wanted to take a moment to share and highlight these few.
In the meantime and in between the time of our next touch point, one final thing to celebrate is being able to hang out in person — THANK GOD! So mark your calendars, invite a friend, family, coworker, or neighbor, and plan to be present at our place for the following gatherings (more details to follow):

Every Wednesday night from 8 pm – 9 pm will be our corporate prayer and praise time to pray for the city of Fort Worth as well as one another and all that God is calling us to. We will start and end promptly, and look forward to everyone participating in our weekly call.
Well, that’s all for now.
THANK YOU ALL for your continued partnership as we discover and answer the call to make disciples for Jesus in the greater Fort Worth metro, laboring alongside one another as the hands and feet of Jesus to change the community and campus, forever changing the world!
We love you and look forward to seeing you on Zoom for prayer tomorrow night at 8 pm sharp!
God bless,
