Last Sunday, we wrapped up our 6-week sermon series, “Set Apart: A Biblical View of Holiness.”
We explored the importance of “starting with the end in mind to finish and finish well,” understanding how God’s act of making us holy sets us apart to inspire others on their journey toward holiness.
With a deeper understanding of holiness, let us thirst to fervently pursue our race, undeterred by obstacles and with unwavering faith.
May our hearts be ignited to share the hope of Jesus with others, extending the invitation for others to experience wholeness and holiness in their daily lives.
In Revelation 22:16, Jesus identifies Himself as the bright morning star, symbolizing hope and joy in a new day. The very next verse (17) says:
“The spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”
As we pray today, let’s seek God’s favor and perfect timing for others to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May they thirst for Jesus and the Holy Spirit to endure and overcome their daily challenges and struggles with sin.
Let’s pray for the refreshing and life-giving water of Jesus to quench their thirst for transforming depression and despair into hope, addiction into deliverance, sickness into healing, hatred into love, sadness into joy, and anxiety into peace—that the Holy Spirit births a thirst for forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to prevail over negativity and injustice.
May today be the day we (and others, too) come and draw close to our Bright Morning Star in prayer, shining His light in this world and spreading His hope and joy.
As we seek God’s eternal call to holiness wherever He leads us, may we triumph in His name. Let’s pray and speak the name above all names and the only name that quenches all thirsts with His holiness: Jesus!
See you on Zoom at 12 pm sharp!
God bless,
