Hey everyone! We’ve got some thrilling updates to share with you! Time has zoomed by as we’ve embarked on this incredible journey of following God’s call to place one foot in the community and the other on campus.
Can you believe it? School’s officially out, and it’s the unofficial start of summer right here in the vibrant city of Fort Worth!
The college campuses of Texas Christian University, University of Texas at Arlington, Texas Wesleyan University, Tarleton State University, and Tarrant County College have bid farewell to most of their students as they head home for the summer.
Let’s join together and keep them in our prayers for a safe and refreshing break and a smooth return to campus this fall. And for those who remain on campus during these sunny months, let’s pray that their hearts and minds stay open to embracing the Gospel’s transformative power.
Now, let’s get a bit personal, shall we? It’s been quite a year since our move to Fort Worth, and we can’t help but praise God for how wonderfully our family has settled and nested in this charming slice of small-town USA, particularly the delightful Benbrook area.
As are our kids, Mallary and I are doing well on all fronts. We all have and are experiencing tremendous growth in so many ways – our character, competence, capability, calling, and commissioning (we often refer to them as the 4 Cs, with a sprinkle of competence as the fifth C added in for good measure).
And guess what? Our community is steadily growing by God’s grace. We recently concluded a 12-week Bible study exploring the Gospel of John, and we eagerly await the fall for our next Bible study exploring the Book of Acts.
In addition, our community dinners have become the highlight of our neighborhood! Every two weeks, we gather around the table to greet, meet, and eat with eight to ten new families and existing neighbors, enjoying great food and even greater camaraderie.
Now, with summer upon us and families jetting off on vacations and various recreational adventures, we’ll shifts gears to a monthly dinner schedule from May through July, returning to bi-monthly dinners in August.
Please do us a favor, and let’s keep our Southwest Fort Worth community lifted in prayer.
May God bless a growing number of ears to be open to hearing the message of Jesus, eyes be open to witnessing His love, and hearts and minds be open to experiencing His grace in their lives.
But wait, there’s more! We’ve got a surprise for you. Are you ready?
We have a fantastic video with a few more announcements you’ll want to hear about. So, take a moment, and tune in to witness the awe-inspiring work of #GodAtWork in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s going to be epic! 🌟📺
Stay tuned, folks, because we’ve got so much more of God’s goodness to share coming your way. Until next time, keep shining bright and spreading God’s love wherever you go!
See you later! 😉
