It’s only 4.5 months until our launch date — September 10, 2023, and I am reminded of John 17:20-23 from our most recent Bible study, where Jesus prayed for unity among believers.
It is amazing to see what God has done in such a short time. We are all the more excited about what He has in store for us in the present day as well as the future.
With May only days away, we enter the season of believing God to send people to commit to joining the launch team. Simply put, God builds His church on the sacrifice of many, not just a few.
Tonight, we will pray and explore Ecclesiastes 4:5-12, which speaks about the importance of committing to live and work together in unity towards God’s call for us to make disciples for Jesus through the core values of worship, community, and mission in a multiethnic, multigenerational context in Fort Worth.
Join us as we pray for many families, friends, and neighbors to have open ears, eyes, and hearts to commit to the launch team in the next 90 days. Let’s pray boldly and believe God for the following:
Worship
God, may we desire to be a humble and empowered church with a deep love for Jesus, the Word, and the lost as we grow in relationship with You and others, deepening our understanding and application of Scripture, and compelling others to join us in worshipping You at the center of our lives.
Community
God, shape us to reflect you in every aspect of our lives, and help us to be a Gospel-centered community that shares the Gospel of Jesus on the campuses and in the communities of Fort Worth and beyond.
Mission
God, empower us live missionally in our daily lives, bringing about reconciliation and healing in our communities through the good news of Jesus and representing you to all nations.
Relational Unity
God, heal and restore broken relationships in every area of our lives, including marriages, families, friendships, and work, so the enemy’s attempts to destroy Godly unity are defeated.
Evangelism
God, open the hearts and ears of unbelievers to respond to the Gospel and empower us to share the life-changing message of Jesus through our testimonies.
Discipleship
God, lead every man, woman, boy and girl to obediently invest our lives into making disciples for Jesus as we deepen our relationships with You and others and are transformed into Christ’s likeness.
Ministry and Serving
God, equip and empower us by the Holy Spirit with spiritual gifts to love and serve others with Christ-like compassion that ministers to all nations, ages, backgrounds, and walks of life.
Generosity
God, establish our hearts, hands, and provision to live sacrificially as cheerful givers, investing responsibly in the growth of your Kingdom as we do the work of ministry.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment to seeking God’s will for Mosaic Church Fort Worth. Together, not just one person but a team, God’s empowering us to build something truly special and unique that reflects His heart for making disciples of Jesus in Fort Worth and beyond.
Thank you for your commitment to be a part of this journey, and we look forward to praying with you tonight at 8 pm via Zoom.
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown

P.S. You’re invited to join us as we enter into our ninth week of a 12-week long Bible study entitled, “Come and See: Exploring the Gospel of John”.
Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:

Let’s pray for Becca Gaines, a campus missionary at James Madison University, as she engages and leads students to Christ, establishes small groups, and empowers leaders to share the Gospel while sharing Christ’s love and identity with them.
Let’s unite in prayer for Pastor Israel and Blanca Garza. The Garzas planted Iglesia Todas Las Naciones to fulfill Psalm 96:3 in the heart of the communities in Monterrey, Mexico, and at the University of Monterrey.

P.S.S. Mark your calendar and join us for food and fun at The Brown’s house (text The Browns for location details).
