Summer is often a time of change—college students leave, families travel, and routines shift.
As a young church, we stepped into our first summer not knowing exactly what to expect but trusting God’s faithfulness as we continued our mission: one foot on the campus, the other in the community, making disciples of Jesus.
With TCU quiet and our college students away for the summer, July became a month where our hearts were deeply rooted in the community.
We started the month by “Cooling down #FunkyTown” with an Ice Cream Social at Micholandia Ice Cream. It was a sweet success! Kids loved it, and even the adults couldn’t resist, despite their playful attempts to deny it. 😂

This outreach effort wasn’t just about indulging in some delicious ice cream. It was a celebration of all that God is building through our local body and a chance to extend His love to others—some for the very first time—in a relaxed, joyful setting outside of our Sunday gatherings.
Outreach efforts like this help knit the church and community together, creating space for genuine relationships to blossom. Our next Ice Cream Social is Friday, September 6th.
But our summer wasn’t just about local outreach. A group of us had the incredible opportunity to attend the Every Nation North American BUILD conference in Orlando, Florida.

BUILD was a week of deep encouragement and inspiration, a chance to hear about the amazing things God is doing through Every Nation churches and campus ministries like ours.

The main sessions challenged all to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus, equipping us to disciple others where we live, work, and play.

The breakout sessions were equally enriching, with one particularly powerful session on Flourishing in the Multi-ethnic Church.
We heard from leaders who shared their experiences of serving and loving in multiethnic churches—how to lead well in these diverse contexts and how churches can flourish in their own multiethnic communities.
This conversation was especially timely as God opened doors for us to connect with Dr. Angélica Ramsey, the Superintendent of Fort Worth ISD.

We discussed how faith-based communities can collaborate with local schools to foster community, literacy, and teacher appreciation—initiatives that can make a real difference in a district like Fort Worth ISD, which has faced many years of academic, financial, and personnel challenges and headwinds from underperformance.
As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we are committed to partnering with other churches in the city and becoming Jesus’ hands and feet, especially in schools with the greatest need.
One of the most meaningful milestones of the summer—and indeed the year thus far—came at the end of July.
We had the joy of baptizing a mother and daughter from our neighborhood, along with her brother and niece.

We first met at one of our community dinners in 2022. Over time, our families connected through school and community events, with God quietly at work. The breakthrough came when the mother, inspired by a song while driving, felt God’s presence and surrendered her life to Him.
Before we could schedule a baptism meeting, she texted to say her brother and niece also wanted to be baptized. It was like a modern-day Peter and Cornelius moment—a whole household coming to faith. But God wasn’t finished. On the day of the baptism, the mother’s daughter, Mila’s classmate, also gave her life to Jesus, and we baptized her, too.
This is just the beginning of seeing God’s faithfulness as we make disciples of Jesus. We believe this marks the start of a story that will echo through generations—God building a multiethnic, multigenerational church in Fort Worth and beyond.
We couldn’t do it without partners like you. Your prayers, support, and generosity are vital to God’s mission through this church. By God’s grace, we’re in this together and wouldn’t want it any other way.
As we witness God drawing every nation and generation to Him, may the name of Jesus be glorified where we live, work, and play—to the ends of the earth.
Stay tuned for exciting updates on Campus Sunday, NxtGen Sunday, our Anniversary celebration, and more—big kingdom milestones we can’t wait to share.
Until then, let’s keep praying and believing for people of all ages to return to the Father’s loving heart.
