It’s hard to believe May has flown by. Another school year concludes with a whirlwind of ceremonies, promotions, and graduations, signaling the end of spring and the start of summer.
Before we rush into what promises to be one of Texas’ hottest summers, let’s celebrate God’s many “cool” blessings in the Fort Worth community and on campus.
Starting with the campus, we’re THANKING AND PRAISING GOD as we are thrilled to announce that Every Nation Campus (ENC) is now an officially recognized TCU student-led organization. 🥳
With this divine approval, we hosted events like ENC tabling and game nights in late April, engaging 96 students eager to explore their faith this summer and into the next school year.
Kudos to our TCU student leader Joya and Campus Missionary Bria Lacour for their dedicated efforts to complete the 10-week New Student Organization Orientation.
Please continue praying for students’ hearts to be open to receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Even though many TCU students head home for the summer, let’s keep praying for those who remain and for fruitful discipleship in the upcoming academic year as students return.
In addition, the blessings extend beyond TCU to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
After meeting a UTA student at the ENC tabling event at TCU (yes, let that sink 🤔), a group of TCU students joined Bria Lacour to explore and prayer walk the UTA campus.
We’re hopeful for God’s perfect timing in establishing Every Nation Campus as a recognized organization at UTA. So, include UTA in your prayers alongside TCU.
Moving from campus to community, as an Every Nation church, we believe deeply in our heart God’s call for us to place one foot in the community while placing the other on campus.
Just as we’re making headway into the campus, we’re equally finding favorable footing from the Lord in the community. One of the many meaningful ways we’ve been able to impact the community is through our volunteering and serving Fort Worth ISD’s Teacher Appreciation initiatives.
It’s been incredible to serve alongside FWISD, embodying the love of Jesus in meaningful ways that transform lives, schools, and our city.
And speaking of serving, our latest 6-week series, “One Another,” has been a timely exploration of what it means to live at the heart of Christian community.
Each week, we tackled the questions of what it truly means to love our neighbors across all divides—racial, ethnic, gender, political, and more. We highlighted some of the 59 “one another” commands, learning how to (and how not to) better care for all people where we live, work, and play.
It’s truly been a remarkable series that has transformed our hearts and perspectives about how the Gospel of Jesus directs us to demonstratively “one another,” one another well.
That’s a wrap for April! God’s goodness and faithfulness have been our constant refrain as He guides our growing church to be bold and courageous messengers of reconciliation, living, and sharing the Gospel daily.
And it goes without saying, but thank you for your unwavering support. We couldn’t do this without each of you faithfully partnering, praying, and supporting God’s mission through our local church to bring heaven to Fort Worth, Texas.
Until the next update, let’s keep encouraging each other to walk by faith and not by sight as we make disciples of Jesus!
