Remember. Dream. Redeem.

The day after Election Tuesday, I hope this message finds you all anchored in God’s grace and peace as we collectively write another chapter of America’s democratic story.

Across the nation and beyond, people are experiencing a range of emotions—joy, disappointment, excitement, frustration, and everything in between.

Yet, through all the different reactions, one truth remains constant:

Jesus is King.

No election, party, or candidate can change this powerful truth.

As believers, let’s hold onto this truth and carry it with us as we step into the world, continuing God’s mission through our church to make disciples of Jesus.

This week’s sermon, The Power of Remembering to Dream, really set the stage for us to reflect deeply. We looked at the story of Ruth, where the decisions of just a few people—rooted in love, loyalty, and faith—sparked hope and change that reached the many far beyond themselves.

So, how do we live in a way that our lives draw others to God’s redemptive love?

Simply put, we allow Ruth’s story to guide and shape us:

  • Forgetfulness leads to chaos, but remembering God’s faithfulness restores hope.
  • Deciding to dream with God shapes reality and sets off a domino effect of transformation.
  • Our decisions, as a church, can be a light that reflects eternity in our city and beyond.

These reminders from Ruth show us that, even in hard times, the intentional decision to remember God’s promises and dream of a better future starts a ripple effect that changes not just our lives, but also campuses, communities, generations, and nations.

So, let’s keep praying daily, asking God to guide us in remembering and not forgetting, and deciding to dream as we align our hearts and lives to embrace and live out these truths:

🙏 Jesus is King
Praise God for His unchanging goodness and sovereign rule over all creation. Lift up worship from a place of deep gratitude.

🙏 The Gift of Salvation
Praise Jesus for His sacrifice and the grace that has set us free, doing for us what we could never accomplish on our own.

🙏 Seeking First His Kingdom
Pray for hearts that align with Jesus’ prayer: “Not our will, but yours be done,” echoing His devotion in every area of life.

🙏 Unity of the Spirit
Intercede for peace and unity in the Body of Christ and our nation. Pray fervently against division and violence, trusting the Spirit’s power to bind us together.

🙏 Courage for Truth and Justice
Pray for our elected officials as Scripture instructs us too, asking for the courage to lead with fairness and integrity that reflects God’s righteousness.

🙏 Media Integrity
Pray for media channels to commit to truth-telling and abandon the culture of distortion so that honest stories that reflect Jesus’s heart are shared.

🙏 Love for the Church
Ask God to empower the Body of Christ to love as Jesus did—sacrificially and without hesitation, fostering genuine connection and care.

🙏 Love for Our Local Church
Pray that we, as the Mosaic Church family, embody Jesus’s love within our community and nurture one another through every season.

🙏 Glory Be to God
Above all, pray that God’s name will be glorified in our words, actions, and hearts so that His light shines unmistakably through us.

No matter where you are emotionally today, we’d love for you to join us and be encouraged as we come together as a family of believers.

Let’s make today a reminder of who we belong to and who we are in Jesus. Let’s remember God’s covenant love in prayer and boldly dream for the redemptive transformation of our city, nation, and world through the love of our Great Redeemer, Jesus.

See you at noon on Zoom!

God bless,
Pastor Alvin and Mallary Brown
