A Walk With Peace.

At war or peace?

You can tell a lot about a person by how they walk. Not just physically but spiritually, whether or not their heart is at war or at peace with themselves, others, and, most importantly, God.

As we continue our journey through Romans in our series “The Gospel Is For Everyone,” Romans 5:1-11 reminds us of how vital peace is and all that true peace produces in our spiritual formation and maturation in relating to God and others.

This passage illuminates the transformative power of peace with God, a peace that the world desperately needs and that we are graciously gifted through faith in Jesus Christ.

As we pray today, let’s attune our hearts to being at peace with God so that the peace of God in knowing Jesus is reflected in one another, our city, nation, and beyond.

Let’s pray the following:

πŸ™ For opportunities to share the Gospel with those who have not yet experienced God’s peace.

πŸ™ For God to reconcile hearts at war to be at peace with God.

πŸ™ For God to reveal His peace to those struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, uncertainty, and all forms of idolatry.

πŸ™ Glorify God through rejoicing in our sufferings with a heart and in ways that produce godly endurance, character, and a hope that does not disappoint.

πŸ™ Reconciliation with God and others produces the peace of God permeating communities and campuses.

πŸ™ Divine wisdom and courage for our leaders to make decisions in the eyesight of God that rightly promote justice and peace.

πŸ™ We would be people at peace with God to be effective in sharing the Gospel and demonstrating the peace that comes through Jesus.

πŸ™ All believers to be protected, provided for, and empowered to spread the message of Jesus’ peace as we reflect the peace with God in our daily interactions.

πŸ™ For hearts to be open and receptive to the message that the Gospel is for everyone.

As we lift these prayers to God, let us remember the words of Romans 5:8, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

This ultimate act of love ensures that we can be at peace with God, transforming our lives and giving us hope that does not disappoint in our walk to know peace: Jesus.
