How do we get home?
This isn’t just a question from Sunday’s message, but a daily quest for all humanity since the dawn of time.
It’s as fundamental as breathing. We navigate through life, consciously and unconsciously, with each breath we take.
Whether we’re sitting, standing, lying down, walking, jogging, running, swimming, biking, scooting, or simply still, day and night, our breath continues—a rhythm of life.
Sometimes our breathing is optimal, other times it’s labored, but make no mistake, breathing is essential to our life here on earth, our temporary home.
We’ve all heard the saying, “Home is where the heart is.”
In truth, many of our hearts are scattered, searching for that elusive place called home. We seek safety and security, journeying through various people, places, and things to find it. Whether disoriented or not, we’re all on this quest.
Our world is full of tools to help us navigate home—robotic vacuums, drones, smart devices, games, maps—yet our hearts still rhythmically yearn for a deeper home.
So, today, we direct our prayers toward not only a physical place of safety and security but a spiritual and eternal home.
A place where our hopes are kindled and sustained in the rhythm of life with Jesus, knowing we are loved, approved, accepted, and belong to Him and His Kingdom—our sweetest, truest home: in the heart of God.
Let’s pray for our city and all its inhabitants who are searching for home to believe in God, receive the Gift of Grace, and walk in faith as Jesus did—becoming people of unshakable, unstoppable hope on our way home, both temporally and eternally.
Our prayer focus for today is for the community and campus in Fort Worth and beyond the following:
🙏 Thank and praise God for being our ultimate Creator, knowing His home is what’s best for us as His creation.
🙏 For hearts to be convicted and drawn closer to God’s truth, returning from the distant places sin takes us.
🙏 Seek God’s wisdom to embody and guidance in sharing our faith and love for others to return home to Him.
We look forward to praying with you at 12 pm as we grow in love for God and others where we live, work, and play—knowing the truest home is in the Gospel is for everyone who believes.
See you on Zoom shortly!
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
