Have you ever found yourself living life through the lens of vacation, forgetting our call to evangelize?
Although it’s not something I’m proud to admit, I know I have. 😔
At times, pride, fear, insecurity, or selfishness have blinded me to the truth that the Gospel is for everyone. I’ve convinced myself that sharing the Gospel was too time-consuming or not worth the effort.
Have you ever felt the same?
When we prioritize our comfort over sharing the Gospel, we miss the opportunity to truly live out our faith in realizing God’s power to save people we encounter. This mindset often traps us in the bondage of self-centeredness, costing us and others more than we realize.
But when we embrace our calling, our everyday lives—where we live, work, and play—become mission fields, rich with potential for God’s transformative power.
From Sunday’s sermon on Romans 1:7-15, we were reminded that God sets us apart, for God to make the Gospel known to everyone. This means submitting to God’s will, remembering our obligation to share the gift of Jesus and His transformative work in our lives, and being intentional in our daily interactions.
Whether it’s a neighbor, coworker, or someone we keep encountering and have yet to introduce ourselves officially, our mission is to share the good news that the Gospel is for everyone.
As we gather for prayer today from 12 pm to 12:30 pm via Zoom, let’s focus on these prayer points:
🙏 Pray for the Gospel to be known: Commit to daily prayers for specific individuals where we live, work, and play.
🙏 Pray for boldness: Ask God to shape our hearts to courageously share the Gospel through our personal testimonies.
🙏 Pray for conviction: Seek the Holy Spirit’s work in the hearts of everyone, leading them to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord.
We can witness the same transformative impact when we live out our faith as the early church did. When this happens, non-believers will notice and be drawn to the timeless truth that the Gospel is for everyone.
Let’s pray that the truth we have embraced in Jesus will spread where we live, work, and play, bringing many to know Him as Savior and Lord.
Looking forward to praying with you at 12 pm on Zoom!
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
