Hope in the Waiting.

As we conclude our series, The Gospel Is For Everyone, with Sunday’s sermon, “While We Wait,” we are reminded of the profound truths in the promise of hope found in Romans 8:28-39

Speaking directly to our hearts, this passage aims to comfort and assure us as we navigate a world filled with daily challenges, pain, and uncertainty.

In light of these truths guiding us and anchoring our hearts in God’s unshakeable promises, we’ll focus on praying three key truths that emerged from Romans 8:28-39—truths that sustain us as we wait for the promised fulfillment as God’s children:

  • God Wastes Nothing: Every moment, every struggle, every victory—God uses it all for our good and His glory. How might we see God’s hand at work in what seems like a mess? Are we trusting Him to weave our stories into His greater purpose?

  • God Is For Us: If God is for us, who can be against us? This truth challenges us to consider how we live in light of God’s unwavering support. Are we bold in our faith, knowing that we stand on the side of the Creator of the universe?

  • God Remains With Us: God’s presence never leaves us while waiting. Are we aware of His constant companionship, especially in our darkest hours? How can we remind ourselves and others of this truth daily?

With these truths in mind and at heart, let’s pray and ask God to deepen our understanding and help us live them out faithfully in the following ways:

🙏 Thanks and Praise for God’s Sovereignty: Thanking and praising God for His control over every aspect of our lives, trusting that He is working all things together for our good.

🙏 Boldness in Faith: Praying for courage to live confidently in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus, knowing that God is for us and nothing can separate us from His love.

🙏 Awareness of God’s Presence: Asking for a heightened sense of God’s nearness, especially during difficult times, and for the ability to encourage others with this truth.

🙏 Perseverance in Hope: Seeking strength to endure the waiting, holding onto the hope of God’s future glory and the redemption of all creation.

May we continue to reflect on, pray over, and live out the truth of the Gospel each day, applying all we’ve learned from Romans to our lives. Let’s remember how the Gospel fulfills God’s promises to Israel and His chosen people and how the Gospel powerfully unifies the Church.

Though we didn’t cover chapters 8-16 in this series, let’s carry forward what we know of the Apostle Paul’s unwavering commitment to the Gospel. May his tireless faith be an example for us as we keep reading, growing, and waiting in faith together, realizing now and in eternity that the Gospel truly is for everyone—especially those where we live, work, and play!

We look forward to seeing you all at 12 pm on Zoom!

God bless,
