Give. Save. Live.

One moment, it’s offering a listening ear to a neighbor who needs it. The next, it’s the quiet tug to bring food to someone in need. Then it’s covering a bill or babysitting for a single parent, holding it all together.

Other times, it’s praying late into the night for a struggling friend, extending forgiveness that was never asked for, or setting a place at the table for someone with nowhere else to go.

Each moment feels small. Costly. And sometimes, it feels like giving is losing.

I’ve found myself praying, “God, if I do this, will You still take care of me?”

And while there’s no booming audible answer, there’s always that same gentle tug, an invitation to trust, not with things, but with my heart.

That same tension lived in the hearts of God’s people during the time of Malachi. In Malachi 3, God says, “Return to me, and I will return to you.” He doesn’t start with guilt. He starts with generosity. He reminds us, “I haven’t changed. I’ve never stopped being generous.”

God’s generosity isn’t about what He wants from us.  It’s about what He gives generously to us through the very presence of Jesus.

And when we receive His gracious gift of generosity, it shapes us. It purifies, restores, and teaches us to trust again, to give not out of fear or guilt, but from a life rooted in His generosity that leads us to ask:

  • Where am I holding back?
  • Where have I stopped believing God will come through?
  • And what would change if I lived like He already has?

As we bring these questions before God in prayer and seek to live in alignment with His grace, truth, and generous nature, let us lift up the following:

🙏 Thank God for His unchanging presence.

🙏 Praise Jesus as the fullness of God’s generosity.

🙏 Celebrate stories of His provision.

🙏 Ask for hearts that trust and reflect His generosity.

🙏 Pray for healing and freedom from fear, shame, and comparison in our giving and generosity.
🙏 Seek clarity to reprioritize our finances and lives to give, save, and live respectively.
🙏 Intercede for those caught in selfishness, that they would repent, receive Jesus as Lord, and reflect His generosity, leading others to follow Him where they live, work, and play.

🙏 Intercede for those unsure God will come through.
🙏 Intercede for those who struggle to live generously and have yet to reflect the heart of God’s generosity.

🙏 Pray for a widespread return to God and His nature of generosity where we live, work, and play.

Whether you’re walking closely with Jesus or still figuring things out, there’s room for you here—room for your doubts, your prayers, and your story.

Return to the generous heart of God, and He’ll return to youSee you at 12 pm!

God Bless,

P.S. Is there something specific you need prayer for this week?  Just reply—we’d be honored to stand with you.

Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:

Let’s pray for Campus Missionary Brenden Johnson, his wife LeeAndra, and their kids as they serve with Lake Mary Church, reaching college students and investing in the community. They’re stepping in wherever they can to make Jesus known, especially among fatherless, inner-city youth who often face a tough road. They believe the gospel can bring real change, healing whole communities, and give the next generation a new story to tell—one of freedom, transformation, and lasting hope.

Let’s take a moment to pray for Randy and Selene De Los Santos as they follow God’s call to plant a Christ-centered church in the heart of Pittsburgh. They’re stepping out in faith to reach people from every nation with the love, grace, and freedom found in Jesus. RiverTree Church Pittsburgh is launching in 2026 with a heart to bring life and healing to both neighbors and nations. Let’s stand with them and be part of what God’s doing in the Steel City.
