Do you know that God’s heart is for everyone to be one with Him?
His love extends to every person made in His image—all of humanity. He desires for all to understand what it means to be united with Him, dwelling with Him, and Him dwelling among everyone.
No matter our circumstance, situation, or background, isn’t it comforting to know that God’s heart is for you, me, us… everyone?
As we continue to journey through our sermon series, “The Gospel Is For Everyone,” Romans 6:1-14 opened our eyes, ears, and hearts to the incredible truth of God’s unwavering love for everyone to be united with Him.
It’s truly amazing and beyond our full understanding. To Him, everyone is so valuable that He chose to die for all of us.
That phrase… “to die for”… Have you ever stopped to consider what it truly means?
In everyday language, we use it to describe exceptionally good things—food, outfits, experiences, and so on.
But have you really considered the tension of the question: What are you willing to die for, and what does it represent?
For some, it’s people. For others, it’s things or places. Many might say a combination of these.
Nonetheless, the phrase “to die for” is often exaggerated to describe countless people, places, and things that, while some are good and others not so good, can take us far from God and being one with Him when Jesus is no longer at the center.
However, in Scripture, this phrase “to die for” is more than just hyperbole—it encapsulates the core message of the Gospel.
So, as we gather for our prayer call today, let’s focus our hearts on the Gospel’s call to embody the relational implications of Jesus’ willingness “to die for” everyone.
In this central truth, let’s pray for divine revelation and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform hearts and lives where we live, work, and play through these prayer requests:
🙏 Baptized into Christ’s Death and Resurrection: Let’s pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully in hearts, helping all to die to our old selves and live anew through being baptized into Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection.
🙏 Freedom from Habitual Sin: Let’s pray for hearts to be freed from the power of habitual sin that has been their source of acceptance, love, and belonging, so that everyone who believes may live now and eternally in the identity of Jesus, who has first loved, accepted, and approved each of us.
🙏 Living for God’s Glory: Let’s pray for hearts and lives to fully surrender to living for God, exemplifying that living for God is an identity truly worth living and dying for.
Join us and be encouraged and strengthened, knowing that God’s heart is for everyone to be one with Him and that our lives reflect this beautiful truth in every moment.
See you on Zoom at 12 pm!
God bless,
