What Do We Do With Our Pain?

We’ve all been there, haven’t we?

That quiet, late-night question: “What am I supposed to do with all this pain?”

It creeps in after loss, heartbreak, and disappointment. We try to cope–with food, sleep, work, distractions–but the ache often lingers, echoing in empty spaces and unresolved moments.

Like Hiro in Disney’s Big Hero 6, grief can steal our familiar world. What we do next truly matters, because pain lies. It whispers, “This is all you’ll ever be.”

But what if the root of our pain isn’t just emotional, but something deeper–spiritual? Romans 6 offers a different perspective: through our connection with Christ’s death and resurrection, we are meant to “walk in newness of life.”

Jesus didn’t just soothe our painful sorrow; He conquered sin, the very thing, the pain that wounds and isolates. Like Baymax offering a way out to Hiro, Jesus steps into our pain, offering a path to the cross.

His question resonates: “Are you satisfied with your care?” Only Jesus offers the care that leads to true and lasting resurrection life.

So, what will we do with our pain? Keep carrying it, or let Jesus carry us?

As we pray today, for ourselves and those around us, let’s bring our burdens to a Father who cares deeply:

🙏 God, help us turn to You instead of running from our pain.

🙏 Guide us to trust Your healing through Jesus, not our own fixes.

🙏 Give us courage to be honest about our struggles with sin problem.

🙏 Break sin’s grip of pain, shame, and guilt.

🙏 Remind us we are never truly alone.

🙏 Expose the lies of our pain with Jesus’ truth.

🙏 Root our identity in Your love, not our losses.

🙏 Carry us when life feels too heavy.

🙏 Transform our bitterness into Your Spirit’s hope, joy, peace, and love.

🙏 Jesus, help us live in the truth of Your sacrifice, so others may find it too.

Let’s continue to pray daily for those asking, “What do I do with all this pain?”

Instead of being defined by it, may we embrace the vibrant hope and new life in Jesus – His gifts of a fresh start, renewed purpose, and lasting joy. This isn’t just a feeling. No, it’s the enduring comfort of a rescuing love, a Savior who promises, “I will always be with you.”

Let’s live in this reality together, whether we’re hurting or helping others.

You don’t have to carry it alone. Let’s carry it together to our Father in prayer today.

See you at noon!

God Bless,
