The Blessing in Heaven Coming to Fort Worth.

Last week, we prayed to intercede for our beloved city of Fort Worth and its residents, seeking divine transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit, as expressed in Colossians 1:1-12

Join us again tonight in prayer via Zoom as we continue our fervent intercession for God’s blessing to descend upon Fort Worth, just as Jesus wholeheartedly expressed to His disciples in Matthew 5:1-12—also known as the Beatitudes.

Through the Beatitudes, Jesus imparted a radical message of hope and comfort to people who were oppressed under Roman occupation. His words offered a fresh perspective on poverty, hunger, mourning, persecution, and various hardships, serving as a powerful reminder that God’s presence remains steadfast amidst our sufferings.

His timeless teachings hold just as much relevance today as we navigate the challenges of a nation divided by politics, race, gender, and various societal issues.

In a world marked by growing persecution and opposition, it becomes even more crucial for us to wholeheartedly embrace and embody the teachings that Jesus taught the disciples.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are to reflect the heart and nature of Jesus’ words while fervently praying for the manifestation of God’s kingdom in the communities and on the campuses of Fort Worth.

With this in mind, let us prayerfully bless our city and hearts to be divinely transformed as Jesus expressed:

  • Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs, is the kingdom of heaven. (v3)
  • Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (v4)
  • Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (v5)
  • Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.(v6)
  • Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (v7)
  • Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (v8)
  • Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (v9)
  • Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (v10)
  • Blessed are you when people insult, persecute you, and falsely say evil against you because of me. (v11)
  • Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (v12)

What a powerful message of hope and transformation rooted in Christ Jesus!  It goes beyond embracing the teachings Jesus expressed.  It truly encompasses the very heart of the Gospel—the redemptive work of the Cross of Jesus.

So as we aim to live in a manner that blesses our city and neighbors, we should do so with unwavering commitment, even amidst trials and tribulations.

Therefore, let our prayers and actions reflect His heart for the present kingdom as we eagerly await His triumphant return and the fulfillment of His eternal kingdom.
