Power Over What We Carry.

If only we truly had the power to change once and for all, and it actually stick this time.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I wish I could hit “reset.”

Ever been there? Regret lingering, mistakes replaying, the guilt and shame of sins weighing heavily?

Picture it like a backpack, where every regret, every misstep, every ounce of guilt and shame is stuffed in there.

Heavy, right?

Now imagine Jesus walking up, taking that backpack, and nailing it to the cross. Gone, paid in full.

Unbelievable. Yet true.

This is exactly what Paul writes about in Colossians 2:8-15: the power of Jesus to do what we could never do ourselves, setting us free from sin.

In Him, we are complete, cleansed, and free, not by what we’ve done, but by what He has done.

Jesus is the head over every power and authority. Every force that tried to control, define, or hold us captive has already been defeated.

And the same power that raised Him from the dead can be alive in you. Every fear, every shame, every false standard fades in the light of His victorious power.

So wherever other “powers” have ruled your life—fear, regret, guilt, shame—let’s bring them to the One who changes everything:

  • Surrendering the spaces and places where fear, guilt, or control still linger.
  • Thanking Jesus for His cleansing, forgiveness, and completing power.
  • Seeking divine wisdom and guidance for our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities to reflect His glory.
  • Freeing strength for those wrestling with fear, shame, doubt, or despair.
  • Opening of hearts for those far from Jesus to experience His power to change.
  • Asking for His courage to live boldly in the victory Christ has already won.

No matter where you are, this is a safe space to trade the heavy bag of your struggles for the hope and power of Jesus.

Come, let His power change us, those around us, and the world we touch. One life at a time, one day at a time.

God Bless,
