As we approach the final week of Advent, having considered hope, peace, and joy in previous weeks, we explore the essence of love revealed through God’s incredible gift to us all: grace.
I think we’ve all had moments where we felt unworthy of love, haven’t we?
Sometimes, we go searching for love in all the wrong places, only to find ourselves far from the greatest love of all—God’s pure, unwavering love for humanity, an agape love.
Tonight, we’re reflecting on Titus 3:4-7, a powerful reminder of God’s immense love poured out through His Son, Jesus. It’s this love that, by His grace, lifts us from the clutches of sin into a renewed, righteous relationship with God.
4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. —Titus 3:4-7
These verses were a beacon of hope then, just as they are for us now, assuring us of God’s all-encompassing love that accepts and redeems us completely.
They highlight the depth of love embodied by Jesus, a love that surpasses and wipes away every one of our sins.
It’s the transformative power of His grace that not only forgives and saves but also empowers us to stand blameless before God.
Tonight, as we gather to pray, may our hearts focus on God’s grace and truth wrapped in an immense love revealed through Jesus’ arrival—His birth, life, death, resurrection, and promised return.
Let’s prayerfully seek God’s presence, expressing gratitude for the profound hope, peace, joy, and love found in His gift of grace through Jesus—a gift that transforms our lives now and forever by the Spirit.
See you tonight at 8 p.m. on Zoom.
God bless,
