Hi everyone!
I’m excited to connect with you all tonight at 8 pm to continue in our time of corporate prayer and praise as we seek God on behalf of the greater Fort Worth metroplex.
Last week we specifically interceded on behalf of and prayed for Fort Worth I.S.D. and higher education in the Fort Worth metroplex.
As for tonight’s call, we’ll continue and invest time together specifically praying for local colleges, universities, and trade/vocational schools across Fort Worth.
We’ll focus on the following campuses but are certainly not limited to:
- Texas Christian University (TCU)
- University of Texas Arlington (UTA)
- Texas Wesleyan University (TWU)
- Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Tarleton State University – Fort Worth
And you’re likely thinking, “Why the campuses?” Well, I’m glad you asked! 🙂
A recent survey from The Barna Group concluded in its research that only 1/4 of all believers converted after age 21 and that adult conversions are rare.
In another survey conducted by ChristianToday.com, they found that 85% of everyone who will meet Christ will do so before the age of 25, dropping to 1 in 10,000 after the age of 25.
It’s likely the case that college-aged students are sent away to school, and for the first time in their life, they are making their own decisions about what they believe and value, and who they want to become while facing an ever-increasing postmodern and post-Christian culture.
And so, we (that’s you and me!) pray without ceasing. We pray for God’s spirit of evangelism to flourish through our lives so that communities and campuses in the greater Fort Worth area will be reached, and that the lost will see and experience the love of Christ and be drawn to his kingdom.
What a gift it will be as we come together to pray and be encouraged by the faith God has given us to see the nations and city of Fort Worth transformed through the Gospel of Jesus reaching colleges and universities!
Weekly Prayer Call from 8 pm – 9 pm (TONIGHT)
Every Wednesday night from 8 pm – 9 pm will be our corporate prayer and praise time to pray for the city of Fort Worth as well as one another and all that God is calling us to. We will start and end promptly, and look forward to everyone participating in our weekly call.
Join us at 8 pm tonight on Zoom, and let’s labor and pray to witness a change in communities and on campuses for Jesus.
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
