Have you ever had a moment where life just didn’t add up or make sense?
You’ve done everything and some, but nothing seemed to change.
And if you’re honest, maybe you’ve wondered: “God, where are You in all this?”
This week, our prayer call invites us to sit in that tension, right alongside a prophet named Habakkuk. He wasn’t preaching at or to the people. He was pleading with God on behalf of them.
What makes his story so real is that he doesn’t hold anything back. He brings his confusion, his disappointment, and his questions straight to God.
That’s what faith looks like when life stops making sense.
Like Habakkuk, many of us are staring down our own unanswered questions.
Maybe it’s a broken relationship. A diagnosis that’s shaken your hope. Prayers that seem to go unanswered. Or the daily flood of injustice, loss, and confusion around the world.
And yet, here’s what Habakkuk shows us: God doesn’t turn away. He listens.
He may not give the answers we’re looking for, but He gives us something even deeper: Himself.
We may not understand everything God allows, but we can trust in everything He is as we wrestle honestly, wait faithfully, and worship fully.
So today, let’s pray the following together:
🙏 Thank You, God, for Your presence even when we don’t feel it
🙏 Thank You for Your patience as we wrestle with questions
🙏 Thank You for being a God who listens and speaks
🙏 We praise You, Lord, not because life is easy, but because You are good
🙏 We praise You for being the strength we need when we’re weak
🙏 We praise You because You are still on the throne
🙏 God, we surrender our need to control the outcome
🙏 We surrender our fears and doubts into Your hands
🙏 Lead us to trust You in the waiting for your vision of heaven to come to earth
🙏 Teach us to rejoice, even and especially when we don’t understand

Bring your real self. Bring your honest heart. Pray and return to the One who holds us through it all.
