Prayer: A Tapestry of Love.

Hi everyone!

Tonight is our final prayer moment of 2022! Can you believe it?

So much has happened over the last six months, and more so throughout 2022.

We learn to abide in God as he reveals himself to us through his living Word.

As we’ve learned to abide throughout the course of this year and moving forward, God abides in us by transforming, empowering, and renewing our commitment to read, understand, believe, and obey his Word in the most practical ways — with prayer being one way.

It seems like yesterday that we embarked upon the journey of gathering weekly to pray together — August 3, 2022, to be exact.

What sweet moments to savor we’ve had this year:

We prayed and proclaimed.
We laughed. We cried.
Prayed some more.
We smiled. We encouraged.
We remembered and reflected.
Prayed some more.
We petitioned. We rejoiced.

And because we never gave up praying (nor will we ever, Lord willing!) we celebrate the gift of God weaving us into a tapestry of love while carrying the burdens of one another (Colossians 2:2-4) — the true making of a mosaic that’s the image of Christ.

What a joy it’s been to not only remain fervent in prayer week after week but to see God meet us in prayer, and transform our hearts to see prayers answered (and some!) in the most practical, yet radical ways. Only God!

And here we are now closing out one year — finishing well, and preparing for the year ahead — starting right.

So let’s aim our all — heart, mind, body, and spirit/soul — toward God’s vision for us to be disciples of Jesus that make disciples for Him in the communities and on the campuses across Fort Worth.

So join us tonight at 8 pm on Zoom as we always rejoice, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances for the Gospel to transform the hearts and lives in Fort Worth: for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

See you soon!

God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
