We pray you are well this week. We have finished Week 2 of our series, You Have a Part to Play.
Considering the question, ‘How can I be a difference-maker?’, we’ll discuss six key cultural topics and the part the people of God can play in them.
Last week, we discussed the importance of being a difference-maker, and this week, we explored the topic of Fame Culture.
Sometimes it can feel like if you’re not a really big somebody, you’re just a little nobody. Does that feel like your reality today?
We minimize ourselves and others to likes, shares, follows, accolades, etc. We’re perpetually online, comparing ourselves to others and longing for fame and notoriety, no matter the scale.
However, we as Christians have the ability to resist the culture of fame and its effect on our lives. Why? How?
Humanity’s struggle with wanting to be known and maintain a perfect image—whether you’re a social media influencer, celebrity or not—can be dissolved by knowing the God who created us on purpose and for a purpose beyond that.
The real way to live on forever is truly to know God, accept Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross for our sins and let the fame thing go, experiencing life in God‘s glory here on earth in eternity. We were created to give Him glory, not ourselves.
Instead of succumbing to fame culture, dig into your character, community and calling. Pursue true affirmation and connection in God’s kingdom.
Would you rather be known by many or known by the One, His people and His purpose?
Join us for our prayer call today from 12 pm to 12:30 pm via Zoom as we pray for the following to bring God glory in our lives, communities and city:
Character: Knowing who we are is more important than what we can offer or do. May our lives be marked by God’s glory and the fruit of His Spirit.
Community: Grow deeper into authentic relationships within our church family. Let’s seek meaningful, offline connections beyond what an online world can provide.
Calling: For God to reveal His unique calling for each of us, and for us to bring Him glory in all that we do.
Affirmation: For all to receive the gift of true love and acceptance in the heart of God.
Join us as we resist the pull of fame culture, praying for God to move powerfully in our hearts, community, campuses, city, and beyond.
Let’s be His Kingdom difference-makers, making disciples of Jesus who turned the world upside down for His glory—the only fame that counts in the end!
See you at 12 pm!
God Bless,
Bria Lacour

Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:
Let’s pray for Campus Missionary Jessica Betz, the ENC Director at Texas State University in San Marcos, a student at Every Nation Seminary (ENS), and a member of The Springs Church. Join us in praying for the new international student ministry within her ENC chapter. They’ve experienced great favor and open doors on campus, but they continue to seek God’s wisdom and pray for more salvations.
Let’s pray for Rico and Kitty Ricafort as they work to reach Panama City’s 4 million people through their church plant, Every Nation Panama. Since moving from the Philippines in 2021 with their three daughters, they’ve focused on reaching students at Universidad de Panama and Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá, which have over 100,000 students together. Their vision is to impact the city by raising future leaders. They have a strong college outreach but believe in strengthening their campus and community presence. Please also pray for their kids and youth ministry facilities and favor in their outreach to Costa Rica.
