Last week, we kicked off the Advent season, lifting our prayers for the promise of hope that Jesus brings as the light shining into our darkening world.

As we gather tonight, we do so, centering our prayers around a familiar passage, Luke 2:10-14, focusing on the peace that Jesus—the Messiah, Savior, and Lord—brought upon His arrival.

Can you imagine what these words from Luke meant for folks back then to hear about the arrival of a Savior, promising peace, especially amidst turmoil and struggles?

Hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving, filled with everything that makes the holiday special—family, friends, good food, and loads of laughter and memories to cherish.

Now, as we gear up for Christmas and the grand arrival of 2024, we’re on the brink of something pretty special—the start of Advent.

Welcome to our 12-week Bible study, ‘Acts: We Are The Church,’ delving into the Book of Acts—a continuation of Jesus’ ministry through the early church.

Throughout this study, you’ll gain a profound understanding of how the early church carried forward the mission of Jesus, performing miracles, spreading the gospel, and facing challenges with unwavering faith. We’ll explore the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and the formation of a vibrant community of believers.

Each week, we’ll dive into a different aspect of Acts, examining themes of faith, courage, and unity among believers. Together, we’ll discover what it means to be part of the body of Christ and how these early church experiences can inform our lives as modern-day Christians.

As Thanksgiving and the holiday season approaches—bringing along a medley of emotions and experiences for us all—we’ve planned a special prayer evening tonight, and we’re excited to invite everyone (yes, that includes you, kids, pets, neighbors—everyone!) to join us.

We’ll pray the timeless words of Psalm 107, penned by David, as we pour out our hearts to God in adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.

We Do the Mission. God Does the Miracle.
