Hi everyone!
Welcome to day three of our fast!
Today, we’re focusing on a profound truth Jesus secured for us: freedom from sin through His perfect justice and mercy—judgment.
While the world offers justice or freedom, Jesus, compelled by love, unites both. He gives us the justice we deserve and the mercy we desperately need to live as God intended.
Please take a moment to watch this video from Phillip Pretorius (click the image below). In it, he shares how the Father’s abandonment of His Son reveals the weight of sin, the necessity of judgment, and the depth of God’s mercy.
As you reflect, consider how the cross reveals God’s justice and mercy, shaping your understanding of His character and actions in your life. How might you share your testimony of Jesus’ justice and mercy with others?

These devotionals focus on the sayings from Jesus’s actual experience on the cross and are personal and visceral. However, they also reflect broader theological themes that enable us to understand what the work of the cross accomplishes for fallen humanity.
The Cross: Family Devotional Guide will help your family learn about the cross and its importance. Whether you’re fasting or simply participating in daily prayer times, you can draw closer to God together in many ways.

Don’t forget our daily prayer call from 12-12:30 pm. Register if you haven’t already!
That’s it for now. May we live in the justice and mercy Jesus has shown us, extending His merciful love to others.
Be on the lookout for tomorrow’s content, arriving early in the morning.
See you at noon!
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
