Hi everyone!
We’re encouraged for our time together tonight at 8 pm as we seek God on behalf of the greater Fort Worth metroplex.
Last week we specifically aimed our hearts to pray through the life and lens of the persistent widow (Luke 18) as we prayed to reach and see the Gospel transform communities and campuses across Fort Worth.
As we invest time together tonight, we’ll do so in step with the change in season.
Today marks the last day of Summer, and Fall officially begins tomorrow. The arrival of Fall not only brings much-awaited cooler weather here in Texas, but it often brings refreshing rains that revive parched landscapes.
As we await the natural rains to refresh and revive, we also aim our hearts towards supernatural revival, diligently praying the words of Psalm 80:18-19 that the Lord God Almighty breathes revival throughout the city of Fort Worth.
“18 Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. 19 Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.”
For it is only through the merciful heart of God that people, places, and things are revived.
Whether a marriage, relationship, or friendship on the rocks, a wayward family member or friend, a recent diagnosis, or a financial setback — God and God alone stands ready to revive people, places, and things, making all whole and new in Him.
So as we call upon the name of the Lord in prayer tonight, let us prepare our hearts and bring our hearts’ cry of witnessing a revival for our city and the citizens of Fort Worth — a life-giving return to the Father’s heart for His sons and daughters.
May God breathe and rain down his Spirit of revival that transforms us, our families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
Most importantly, may God’s revival reach, save, and transform the lost souls and hearts in our communities and on the campuses across the city.
