Have you ever caught yourself doing something on autopilot, then later stopped and wondered, Why do I even do that?
That’s how patterns tend to work. They form quietly and gradually.
A shortcut here. A mindset we picked up somewhere. A habit we never stopped to question.
Some patterns are fine, even helpful. But others? They keep us stuck in in the cycles of shame, guilt, broken relationships, and unhealthy choices that leave us feeling like we’re spinning in circles, hoping for change but never really seeing it.
That’s why this week’s message, Breaking the Cycle, matters.
In Romans 6, Paul gives us a clear picture: all of us start out stuck in a pattern of sin. It looks like freedom, but it’s not. It ends in more hurt, more emptiness.
That’s the bad news. But the good news Jesus doesn’t leave us there.
He shows up to break the cycle from inside out, not just patch it up from outside in as the world often prescribes.
His grace doesn’t just interrupt our patterns. It rewrites them. He plants something new right where brokenness used to grow.
And get this, if we let Him, Jesus will shape a life in us that actually reflects who He is. A new life full of beauty, freedom, and eternal purpose.
So as we pray this week, here are a few ways we’re asking God to meet us and move:
🙏 For freedom from shame and guilt: Jesus, remind us your grace meets us even in our patterns of sin. Help us believe we’re not too far gone, and that you can still make something new.
🙏 For honest self-reflection that leads to growth: Jesus, lead us to look honestly at how we’re living, not just what we say, but what’s really driving us at the core of our hearts. Show us what needs to change so that we can surrender and be shaped more into your image every day by your grace.
🙏 For new beginnings, a beauty from brokenness: Jesus, thank you that our story isn’t over nor end in sin and death with you. Take what feels broken, worn out, or beyond repair, and make something beautiful. Give us the courage to start again and trust your way forward, even when it’s hard to see.
🙏 For freedom from old patterns: Jesus, show us where we’re stuck in sin or unhealthy cycles of living. Give us the courage to turn to you, trust your way forward, and experience real change—deep, lasting transformation by your grace and Spirit.
If you’re tired of walking in the same direction and seeing the same results, hear this: Jesus sees and loves you.
His grace is enough. And He’s offering you a new pattern. A pattern that changes everything. One that brings life, not death.
See you at 12 pm!
God Bless,

P.S. Is there something specific you need prayer for this week? Just reply—we’d be honored to stand with you.
Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:

Let’s pray for Cross-Cultural Missionary Lee Simon Brown and his family as they serve with All Saints Church, an Every Nation church in Nashville. After 13+ years with Victory, Lee and his family moved to help plant this new church, lead worship, and share the gospel with students at Vanderbilt, Tennessee State, and Fisk.
Let’s pray for Kyle and Meghan Johnson as they are sent from Mid-Cities to plant Kingdom Church in Melbourne, Florida, to reach their city with the gospel of Jesus. Pray for meaningful connections with their neighbors, and for their kids, Noah, Stone, and Sophia, to meet and make new friends as they adjust and settle into a new location.
