Spiritual Awakening in Fort Worth.

It’s been a fast and furious February filled with so many exciting updates.

We are happy to report that Texas Christian University (TCU) is back in session, and we are praying for a spiritual awakening on campus this semester.

Pastor Alvin meeting with TCU students Isaiah, Ella, and Joya at a local coffee shop near campus.

We are witnessing the hearts of students opening up to the Gospel, and in the last month alone, four students responded to give their lives to Christ thanks to God moving through Joya, one of our TCU students, who has been actively sharing the Gospel.

Joya is now discipling two new students, as are the recent four students, using the One2One app.  We are hopeful that more students’ hearts will be open to hearing and responding to the Gospel of Jesus.

Please join us in prayer as we seek God’s will and desire for the following:

Joya to start a student-led Bible study with ten or more students.

A sponsor/champion from TCU faculty/staff to officially become and be recognized as Every Nation Campus (ENC) TCU Chapter.

Two fully-funded campus missionaries.

In addition to God moving on the campus, He’s also moving in and through the community.

Our neighborhood continues to grow as we welcome at least 8-10 new families every three weeks. We’re grateful to be able to create a safe space for neighbors to connect and build community with one another, especially since moving can be quite stressful.

In fact, we had a young married couple with an 18-month-old move to our neighborhood from Virginia last month, and they were grateful for the hospitality they received as shown by their heart-warming note of appreciation.

And speaking of being welcomed into a Christ-centered community, we also traveled to Austin with another Fort Worth family to participate in our sending church’s marriage event weekend, Back in the Lab – 7 Secrets to Make Love Last. Over 150 married couples attended the sold-out weekend experience.

Couples participate and engage in one of the many insightful marriage event breakout sessions: Say A Thank You.

We were challenged and encouraged to make small acts of connection often, which is a scientifically-proven prescription for a good relationship as researched by Christian scientists.  We walked away encouraged, equipped, and empowered to trust God all the more in making our love last a lifetime with great intent.

Things are shaping up nicely in Fort Worth according to God’s plan and not our own. We are happy to report that God provided a venue for Sunday services for our September launch date. 🎉

The Westpark Relief Elementary School is a new construction project that will feature a two-story, 120,000-square-foot facility with modern educational amenities and infrastructure to provide an open, collaborative learning environment for elementary students in the Fort Worth Independent School District.

The Westpark Relief Elementary School, which is currently being built, will become the venue to host Mosaic Church Fort Worth’s weekly services. It’s about 15 minutes from TCU’s campus and five minutes from the Brown’s house in the heart of the Ventana Community.

But wait, there’s more!

God also provided a venue for our first in-person Easter at Mosaic in Fort Worth.
 🎉

Please invite and share this news with your family and friends in or near Fort Worth to join us for our 11 AM Easter Sunday service on April 9th at Benbrook Middle-High School Auditorium.  Together, we’ll proclaim with joy and gratitude “Jesus is Lord” and “He is risen; He is risen indeed!”

Oh yeah! February’s final update… we launched Mosaic Church Fort Worth’s website: MosaicFortWorth.com. 🎉  This website covers all things Mosaic Church Fort Worth, including:

So, be sure to check back on a regular basis.  We are updating content weekly with upcoming events and various resources to help us grow and walk closely with Jesus as we receive and share his love with others in Fort Worth.

It goes without saying, but THANK YOU! We are highly grateful for the prayers, encouragement, giving, and support shown as we follow God’s call to plant Mosaic Church Fort Worth and see the citizens, the communities, and campuses in Fort Worth all transformed by the love of Jesus.

Thanks again, and that’s all for now! See you soon…

God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
