What God Reveals, He Heals.

Which law governs you daily?

As we journey through our sermon series, “The Gospel Is For Everyone,” this question takes center stage.

In our Sunday message, “The Kingdom of God, Legally Speaking,” we covered Romans 7. In it, God revealed to us the Apostle Paul the profound truth that Jesus’ work has freed us from the Law, allowing us to serve in the new way of the Spirit.

God’s desire is for everyone to live in the freedom of the Spirit, breaking free from the chains of sin and the pressure of trying to earn salvation through our own efforts.

So as we pray, let’s pray for the following:

🙏 Revelation of Romans 7: Pray for God’s revelation in understanding the law, sin, and how living by the Spirit brings freedom from sin.

🙏 Believers and Nonbelievers: Pray that everyone receives and embraces God’s holiness, recognizes our sinfulness and separation from God, and understands our need for the Gospel.

🙏 Pray against living bound by legalism:

Ritual Adherence: Trying to check a box to achieve salvation through the frequent actions of strict religious rituals (i.e., communion, baptism, devotionals, mission trips, etc.).

Letter of the Law Living: Knowing and following the letter of the law without embracing its spirit at heart.

Works-Based Performance: Trying to earn salvation through mandatory works instead of receiving the gift of grace through Jesus.

Lastly, let’s encourage ourselves and all where we live, work, and play with this truth:

What God reveals, He heals.

God doesn’t show us our flaws to condemn us—that’s the enemy’s tactic. Instead, He reveals our brokenness to heal us.

To be healed and made whole, we must surrender to Jesus and abide in Him, rather than striving to earn our healing.

When we abide in Jesus, we experience His healing touch, and by the Holy Spirit’s power, our lives reflect the fruit of the Spirit. This is the heart of living by the Spirit’s law—a deep desire of our hearts.

This, dear family, is the beautiful, all-encompassing invitation of the Gospel: a relationship with God available to all who believe, now and forevermore.

See you on Zoom at 12 PM!

God Bless,

Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:

As we pray, let’s lift longtime Campus Missionaries, Troy and Sabrina Robertson, and their family. They are serving Austin, Texas, by offering the hope of the gospel. Their ministry, connected with Family Life Austin, an Every Nation church plant in East Austin, is near the University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward’s University, and Huston–Tillotson University.

Join us in prayer for Pastor Michael and Myra Watkins as they lead a church plant in Prague, Czech Republic. They lead church-planting movements and equip leaders in Romania, Ukraine, Armenia, and Croatia to combat social injustice. The Watkins are witnessing God’s spirit moving in new missionaries and church planters who are responding to the call, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!” Let’s support their mission to bring hope and change through the Gospel of Jesus.
