Have you ever found yourself living life through the lens of vacation, forgetting our call to evangelize? 

Although it’s not something I’m proud to admit, I know I have. 😔

At times, pride, fear, insecurity, or selfishness have blinded me to the truth that the Gospel is for everyone. I’ve convinced myself that sharing the Gospel was too time-consuming or not worth the effort.

Have you ever been burdened? Has something or someone just laid heavy on your soul? 

We say things like “my heart is broken,” and while it may not seem literal, I and others would tell you, it sure feels real. 

A heart can surely feel and technically experience weakness after severe emotional stress. 

In the same way, our hearts can experience brokenness emotionally and even physically. Our souls can experience burdens due to “carrying” a load emotionally. 

And this weight is what we will see God actually calls us to carry for and with others.

I hope this email finds you rested and encouraged and that your week is off to a great start as we gather today for our prayer call at 12 pm via Zoom.

In our time today, we will be inspired and guided by Sunday’s final message from our series, “One Another: Living at the Heart of Christian Community,” out of Hebrews 3:7-14, titled “Encourage One Another.” 

We all could use more daily encouragement in all areas of our lives as well as encourage all the many people we encounter daily where we live, work, and play.

And in the spirit of embodying Jesus and how he encouraged us to encourage one another in serving and loving one another, we’ll pray for the following:
