One Family. One Blessing. One Unity.

Have you ever felt like you just didn’t fit?

Like everyone around you had their place, their role, their purpose—except you?

That’s exactly how Mirabel felt in Disney’s Encanto. While extraordinary gifts marked her family, she seemed to be the exception. But in the end, Mirabel wasn’t just part of the family—she was the key to its restoration.

In the same way, Jesus is the key to the unity of His Church. The community of faith is made up of diverse people with different backgrounds, gifts, and experiences. Yet, in Christ, we are one.

The world often mistakes unity for uniformity, but God calls His people to something greater.

When we fall into the trap of thinking unity means sameness, we risk the same pitfalls that have fractured God’s people throughout history: idolatry, division, pride, deception, unbelief, and compromise. These things disunite us from God and from each other.

But when we pursue unity in Christ through the Holy Spirit, we bring our unique gifts together in harmony, just as God intended.

As Bria reminded us on Sunday, Psalm 133 teaches that when we dwell in unity, we receive a blessing—good, pleasant, and powerful.

So today, let’s pray:

🙏 For unity in the Church – That we would value each other’s differences and work together for the common good.

🙏 For reconciliation in relationships – That love, patience, and forgiveness would triumph over division.

🙏 For peace in uncertainty – That we would trust God’s faithfulness, knowing we are never alone.

🙏 For wisdom in our words and actions – That we would build each other up instead of tearing down.

🙏 For humility in disagreements – That we would listen well, speak with kindness, and seek understanding.

🙏 For faith to trust God’s plan – That we would embrace our calling rather than compare ourselves to others.

🙏 For unity rooted in love – That we would be known by the way we love and serve.

As we walk in unity and invite others to do the same, may we embrace God’s unique gifts, seek peace, and build one another up—trusting that He is at work in and through us.

Let’s live, work, and play together as disciples who make disciples—unified in His grace, for His glory—our perfectly fitting into one family, one blessing, and one unity.

See you at noon!

God Bless,

Pastor Alvin and Mallary Brown
