Not just a story of money spent, but of hearts choosing and investing where to lean, where to trust, and who to love.
This past Sunday in The Belonging Project, 2 Corinthians 9:6–15 reminded us that giving was never meant to be fueled by guilt or pressure. It’s meant to grow from trust and a sense of belonging.
Paul tells us that God loves a cheerful giver because generosity isn’t really about what leaves our hands. It’s about what grows inside us, our hearts.
Whether we know it or not, every act of giving becomes a visible sign of God’s invisible grace.
And every consistent, prioritized decision of generosity plants a seed in a story larger than our own, one we could never have imagined.
And in this grace-filled mystery, we often discover something surprising and beautiful:
When we create belonging for others, we often discover that belonging forms in and around us, too.
A belonging that lets us know that God doesn’t need what we think we own in people, places and things.
In fact, He simply desires for our hearts to be shaped by His generosity, reflecting His character to a world so desperately starving for His satisfying love.
So as we pray together, let’s believe in the following:
🙏 Hearts shaped by grace and love, not pressure and guilt
🙏 Deliverance and healing from past financial failures and trauma
🙏 Courage to trust God as our Source
🙏 A consistent and prioritized plan for giving
🙏 Belonging to grow through our generosity where we live, work, and play
🙏 Maintaining unity through generosity at the family table
🙏 Blessing on Live Big Gift and Christian Community Assistance
🙏 Strength for our church to serve and love well where God has sent us to live, work, and play
🙏 Thanksgiving, praise, blessing, and worship to God to rise through our giving
🙏 Lives that reflect our belonging to Jesus
As we give as God gave to us, we remember that our consistent, prioritized generosity is part of something far bigger than us.
God has been writing this story—HIStory of Generosity—long before we understood belonging, even while our hearts were longing for it.
God Bless,
