A People Remembered.

In a world that feels darker by the day, we paused this past Sunday to celebrate God’s faithfulness in Mosaic Church Fort Worth, turning two.

But even as we celebrate, we can’t ignore the pain around us. Our nation feels more divided than ever, and the violence of recent weeks presses us to ask a sobering question:

If it all ended today, what would we be remembered for?

History doesn’t hold on to our schedules or the things we consumed. Simply put, it remembers what we stood for, or what we failed to stand for.

Did we live in ways that pointed others to love, hope, and unity, or did we stay distracted and divided, focused only on ourselves and personal interests?

Isaiah 55 gives us the answer:

  • Come to Him—to the only One who satisfies.
  • Turn back to Him—laying down our own way to receive His mercy.
  • Trust His promise—that His Word will accomplish all He intends and will not return empty.

So while hatred and despair dominate the headlines, may they not define us and who we’re becoming daily, and be remembered as a people of faith.

May we be remembered not for fading things, but as disciples of Jesus who lived, loved, and bore witness to His grace where we live, work, and play.

This week, let’s come together in prayer, remembering God’s call, His command, and His promise in the following:

  • Thank You that Your call is for all who thirst and that Your grace is always free.
  • We praise You for Your mercy, compassion, and abundant pardon when we turn back to You.
  • Thank You for Your steadfast love in Christ and for making us part of Your everlasting covenant.
  • We praise You that Your Word never fails and always accomplishes its purpose.
  • Thank You that in Jesus, we can walk in joy and peace, even in the darkest, most chaotic times in the world.
  • We praise You for Your faithfulness to Your mission through Mosaic Fort Worth these last two years of lives being changed and disciples being made.
  • Lord, turn our nation and our hearts from pride, violence, and self-reliance to Your compassion.
  • Fill our friends and families, workplaces, and communities with Christ’s love through us.
  • Shape us to be remembered not for what we consumed, but for mercy and generosity in Jesus.
  • Cover campuses and communities impacted by violence with Your peace, and make us visible witnesses of it.
  • Lead us to confidently trust Your promises and give us courage to plant seeds of faith, believing You for the harvest.

As we look forward to being a light of Jesus where we live, work, and play, it’s our heart not to be remembered for ourselves, but that others would remember Jesus through our lives lived.

Not marked by fear, but by faith. Not shaped by chaos, but formed by Christ.

In the end, may our legacy be this: a people of prayer who live in ways that answered God’s calltrusted His command, and clung to His promise.

A people remembered for and by Jesus.

We look forward to being with and seeing you on tonight’s call.

God Bless,
