A Staying Joy :: John 16:16-22

Join us at Mosaic this Easter as we embark on a message series entitled “Passion.” This series focuses on the deeply emotional life of the Son of God. We explore His most trying and triumphant moments and reflect on what they mean for our lives and worship.

In the final week of His life, Holy Week, Jesus exemplified how to navigate the full spectrum of human experience, from profound sorrow to boundless joy and everything in between.

Understanding this, let it both inspire and challenge us to embrace the tension of our own lives. Whether we’re in the midst of grief, tears, or joy, remember that Jesus meets us exactly where we are.

Tune in to Pastor Alvin’s sermon from the book of John, chapter 16, entitled “A Staying Joy.” In this message, Pastor Alvin explores Jesus’ final conversation with His disciples, often called the upper room discourse.

Jesus prepares the disciples to endure the sorrow of His impending crucifixion while encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith, despite persecution.

Through Jesus’ resurrection from death to eternal life, we discover how the disciples’ sorrow (and ours too!) can be transformed into a lasting joy that endures forever in this life and all the more in the one to come.
