“Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” —2 Corinthians 6:1-2
In these verses, Paul urges the Corinthians to open their hearts to the boundless possibilities of the Gospel of Jesus, emphasizing that NOW is the time for salvation.
As once Corinthians ourselves, habitually living as if there is no heaven, no hell, and no judgment, we’re called to echo Paul’s urgency and devote our lives to being vessels of God’s grace.
What Paul insists then is what we, once Corinthians in our own way, now must devote our hearts and lives to: for now—not tomorrow or “someday,” but NOW—to be the favorable time and the day of salvation for those who would be heard and helped by God through faith in Christ.
Daily, may we surrender our lives, hearts, and voices, open to all who will listen to how Jesus has transformed us. In the name of Jesus, whose compassion embraced every human being, may our hearts be as wide as humanity itself, longing for all to come to know Him as we do.
Therefore, just as Paul urged, let’s intercede for various needs in our prayer call today from 12 pm to 12:30 pm, including:
- For God’s daily grace empower us to live boldly and confidently by the Spirit, sharing, praying for, ministering to, and inviting people into relationship with Jesus (Acts 2:42–47).
- For the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control—to manifest and persist in our lives with the primary purpose of reflecting the character of Jesus to the world (Galatians 5:22-23).
- For the gifts of the Spirit—exhortation, teaching, service, mercy, generosity, leadership, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues—to be revealed and used to encourage, edify, and build up the body of Christ with Jesus at the center (Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).
- For God’s provision—spiritual, physical, relational, financial, health—made perfect in Jesus to be received by those in desperate need.
- For God’s wisdom and health for Fort Worth ISD navigating through challenging times of employment uncertainty and a $45 million deficit district-wide for the 2023-2024 school year.
- For ENC Campus Hangout @ March 22nd to reach college students with hearts open to hearing and learning more about Jesus.
- For our campus missionary, Bria, to discern God’s will and clarity in selecting and pursuing a graduate program.
- For our TCU student leader, Joya, to have divine favor to complete the process of establishing an official ENC chapter with TCU’s National Organization Campus Ministries.
- For God’s presence, wisdom, and outpouring of His spirit to start community groups in key areas of Fort Worth.
- For Easter at Mosaic service to be a divine encounter with God for those attending church for the first time or returning after having been away from God.
- For the hearts of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Fort Worth and beyond to be awakened to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus during Ramadan season.
Our time is now, and God’s day of salvation is upon us. Let’s unite in prayer for Fort Worth and beyond to embrace God’s grace and be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ.
Your presence and prayers mean the world to us and, most importantly, to God, who awaits to hear and answer according to His will.
We can’t wait to pray together! See you at 12 pm via Zoom!
God bless,
Pastor Alvin & Mallary Brown
