Holy Week Reminder + Reflection.

We pray you are well this Holy Week as we have finished Week 5 of our Next Steps series on Worship, Community, and Mission. These are the pillars of who we are as Mosaic Church. We make disciples of Jesus in the city of Fort Worth through those core values.

For me, these past five weeks have been a great reminder of what we believe and who we are, not only as a part of Mosaic Fort Worth but as a part of the Church of Jesus. And so, we enter this Holy Week with that reminder.

This Holy Week began with Palm Sunday, will seem to reach a peak on Good Friday but will ultimately culminate in victory with Easter Sunday. We, the Church, will celebrate the pinnacle and foundation of our faith—the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ.

The sacrifice of His innocent life enables us to have eternal life and forgiveness of sins, if we repent (turn away from our lives of sin and destruction and toward God) and believe. May those around us know this hope and join us for Resurrection Sunday this week.

Join us for our prayer call today from 12 pm to 12:30 pm via Zoom as we pray for God to meet us this Holy Week and remind us of who we are and what matters to us as His people.

Here’s what we’ll be focusing on:

  • Worship: God would grow within us, and hearts ignited for Him. That we would be after His heart and full of thanksgiving and praise. That we would be people of glory, dedication, and sacrifice for God.
  • Community: God to grow us as a church. That we would be a tight-knit community of those who love God, one another and the community of Fort Worth. That we would sharpen and grow one another in love.
  • Misson: That God would grow our love for those around us, so much so that we share the Gospel and His love with them. Would we reach the city of Fort Worth and beyond, baptizing people and teaching them to obey all that Jesus teaches (Matthew 28:16-20). Would we proclaim the Good News and be ministers of reconciliation.
  • Holy Week: For God to bring those seeking Him to our Easter service. For reflection on His great love for us. Find a helpful guide of 8 Holy Week Prayers here, a series of videos on Holy Week here and a Holy Week study here.

Let’s pray, as Jesus taught us, for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done, on earth as it is in Heaven in the area of provision. Together, let’s cry out to God and seek Him.

See you at 12 pm sharp!

Blessings,
Bria Lacour

Additionally, we will make space to pray for God to extend His reach beyond the limits of our city and into the world, seeking His wisdom, unity, safety, and provision for the following people and initiatives:

Let’s pray for Campus Missionary Andrew Ambrose, who serves Lake Mary Church at Stetson University (StetsonU) in the central Florida area. Having been a student at StetsonU, he is compelled by God’s work in his own life to reach other StetsonU students and the Volusia community. As a newer campus outreach, he’s already seen fruit and is believing for so much more!

Let’s lift up Pastors David and Megan Hermes as they reach the city of Denver, Colorado, through their church plant, Hope Valley Church. Located in downtown Denver, Hope Valley aims to be Christ-centered, spirit-empowered, and socially responsible. Let’s pray for this to continue to be their heartbeat and for their campus ministers on campuses of Metropolitan State University, the University of Colorado-Denver, and the University of Denver!
